Incight "Unlocking the Potential of People with Disabilities" Incight was founded in 2004 by Vail Horton, CEO of Portland-based Keen Healthcare Company, along with Scott Hatley, with the dream of changing two statistics: increase the 16% education attainment of Americans with disabilities and decrease the 76% unemployment rate. They collaborated on the creation of an organization that would, ultimately, affect these statistics.
Since 2004 Incight has been providing resources to individuals with disabilities in the Portland community, as well as in the Coachella Valley of California. Our dynamic organization focuses on four key areas of future success – education, employment, independence, and networking. In the past eight years, we have mentored nearly 3,500 students on their path to college, awarded more than 700 college scholarships to students with disabilities, coached 750 jobseekers with disabilities and introduced over 150 new athletes to adaptive sports such as handcycling, and much more. Incight is unique due to our empowerment model; expecting our clients to be their best self and expecting society to let them.
